Photo-induced dissociation reactions in solution: A challenge for Fourier-transform EPR
نویسنده
چکیده
Fourier-transform EPR was invoked to study photo-induced addition reactions to fullerenes in solution. The analysis of electron spin polarization pattern allowed the identification of short-lived radical intermediates. Focussing on the observation of very fast transients in the polarization pattern, reaction mechanisms can be identified and modelling of quantum beat phenomena can be utilized for a microscopic understanding of reaction kinetics in isotropic solvents.

COLLISIONAL ACTIVATION BY FOURIER - TRANSFORM MASS SPECTROMETRY A Study of Target Gas Excitation
Studies on the charge-transfer reactions between translationally excited polyatomic ions and the neutral target gas used for collisional activation/collision-induced dissociation are described. These studies demonstrate an additional area where Fourier-transform mass spectrometry can be used to probe the fundamentals of ion/neutral interactions, viz., target gas excitation which competes with c...
